In the United States, as many as 16 million children do not have access to nutritious food. That calculates to 1 out of 5 kids who struggle with hunger and undernourishment. The Purple Yoga community believes in giving back to those who need, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
Join us for our second annual 'Hatha for Hunger' charity event at The Long Beach Museum of Art! Fun, creative, and spooky costumes are HIGHLY encouraged! Photographers will be capturing the best costumes/yoga poses all evening, so be sure to dress up. We're also in full support of yoga selfies, so don't be shy and make sure you'll tag your pictures #hatha4hunger or #purpleyoga
We will be hosting a variety of yoga classes throughout the day:
Gates open for guest arrival
(5:30 - 7 PM):
Outdoor Sunset Flow with Alex & Sean. Special guest Scott Winslow.
A spectacular flowing vinyasa yoga class that takes place on the museum bluff overlooking the ocean.
(5:30 - 7 PM):
Indoor Chill Flow with Kim & Ace. Special guest Sandra Winslow.
A slower paced flow intended to bring relaxation and tranquility.
(7:00 - 10 PM):
Enjoy music, free food, vegetable crudite, coffee, tea, water (Open Bar 7-8 PM: beer, wine, champagne)
(8:30 - 9:30 PM):

Participants will be able to purchase food bars, water, and spirits throughout the evening. Mats and towels will also be available to rent, so invite all your friends/family who have always had an interest in yoga to celebrate with the Purple community!
Partial proceeds from the event will be donated to No Kid Hungry (www.nokidhungry.org), a non-profit organization driven to nourish children in our community, as well as educate our nation on the problems of U.S. childhood hunger.
